About the role
Liminal is seeking a Senior Accountant (Finance Operations) to play a key role in managing our global accounting operations and building scalable financial processes. This is a hands-on position for a technically strong accountant with an operator’s mindset—someone eager to go beyond bookkeeping and help shape the systems, controls, and insights that drive strategic decisions across the business.

You’ll collaborate directly with the CFO and cross-functional leaders on accounting, reporting, payroll, and financial operations initiatives that impact the company’s growth trajectory.

What You'Ll Do

Global Bookkeeping & Month-End Close

  • Manage daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online across U.S., PH, PT, and BR entities.
  • Handle journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain audit-ready, multi-currency records and support U.S. GAAP reporting.

Financial Operations

  • Oversee AP, AR, vendor management, and billing for SaaS and Services lines.
  • Support revenue recognition, cash management, spend analysis, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with CFO, accountants, and auditors for global compliance.

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly payroll for U.S., Portugal, and Philippines teams.
  • Manage reimbursements and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Optimize use of QuickBooks, Ramp, Rippling, Deel, and Google Sheets.
  • Automate workflows, enhance reporting, and build dashboards for leadership.

Strategic Finance & Operations

  • Partner with CFO on financial visibility, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Provide insights on margins, spend, and growth trends.
  • Support system implementations and finance policy improvements.

Technical Expertise

  • Expert in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel/Sheets functions.
  • Knowledge of SaaS metrics and U.S. GAAP reporting preferred.

Leadership & Ownership

  • Own day-to-day global accounting operations.
  • Anticipate and resolve accounting issues; mentor junior staff.
  • Communicate effectively across global teams and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred but not required.
  • 5–8 years of accounting experience, ideally spanning both corporate accounting and financial operations.
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Rippling, and Deel.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity accounting.
  • Experience supporting a U.S.-based team or working U.S. business hours is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills and attention to detail.
