Job Description
- The Role -
- . Developes new parts to launch new vehicle with suppliers.
- . Manages supplier performance to meet GM’s quality standards, focusing on part quality and process improvement.
- . Works with GM global teams & suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met.
- . Provide technical support to solves problems and takes preventive actions to improve overall quality.
What You’ll Do -
- . APQP & PPAP: Establishing quality processes and approving parts for new suppliers/Parts
- . Run@Rate : To verify that a supplier can consistently produce parts at the required volume and quality
- . Continuous Improvement: Collaborating with suppliers to drive ongoing part quality enhancements.
- . Evaluate and improve supplier manufacturing process and quality system.
- . Problem Solving & Improvement: Resolving part quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
- . Work Process Simplification using AI & Automation tools and Software
- . SQE Virtualization MR and VR adoption
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) -
Majors Required:
STEM-related majors such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.
- Eligibility:
- Graduates or students expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a 4-year accredited university by February 2026
- Language Proficiency: TOEIC score of 700 or higher
- OPIC and TOEIC Speaking/Writing scores will be converted to TOEIC equivalents (OPIC: IM2 or above, TOEIC Speaking: Level 6 or above)
- Graduates or expected graduates from overseas universities are exempt from submitting a TOEIC score
- - GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of B (3.0/4.5 scale) or higher
- Must be available for full-time internship
- Preference will be given to veterans and individuals eligible for employment protection under applicable laws
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) -
- . Intermediate proficiency in Siemens NX (CAD/CAM)
- . Experience in process simplification and automation using AI tools or software solutions
- . Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- . Knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- . Experience with quality tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- . Participation in automotive industry-academia projects or technical symposiums
