Purpose

To support tooling operations through skilled maintenance and servicing of heavy tools, moulds, and jigs, including oven upkeep, chamber preventive maintenance, and temperature profiling. This role ensures optimal equipment performance and reliability by applying expertise in buffing, milling, and scraping processes, while working independently to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision buffing, milling, and scraping to ensure high-quality tool finishes.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy tools, moulds, and jigs.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and restore tools to optimal performance.
• Support production teams with quick and effective tooling solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of tool performance, repairs, and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Manage curing Oven and performing temperature profiling
• Chemical management and usage
• Data collection and excel knowledge to come up with charts after every test done post coating
• Perform other manufacturing-related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong technical background in tooling with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience.
• High-level skills in buffing, milling, scraping, and tool fitting.
• Proven ability in heavy tool, mould, and jig maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as lead junior technicians.
