As an Employment Tax Manager, you will play a key role within our fast-growing Employment Tax team, supporting the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients. The role focuses on UK employment tax matters, including employment related securities, PAYE, NIC, benefits-in-kind, and off-payroll working. - Manage and deliver employment tax compliance services for a wide-ranging client base, including PAYE health checks, benefits reporting (P11Ds, PAYE Settlement Agreements), and the compliance aspects of the Construction Industry Scheme.
- Manage the employment related securities compliance process
- Draft technical advisory emails/reports for clients on employment tax matters, including but not limited to employment related securities, employment status, off-payroll working (IR35), termination payments, and benefits-in-kind structuring.
- Support senior management in providing strategic advice to clients, identifying risks, opportunities, and practical solutions in complex employment tax scenarios.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK employment tax legislation and HMRC guidance, proactively sharing insights with clients and colleagues.
- Assist with client meetings, presentations, and training sessions, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including proposal writing, attending networking events, and helping seniors in the team identify new opportunities within the existing client portfolio.
- Support junior team members through coaching and technical guidance, promoting a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Ensure work is delivered to the highest standard, adhering to regulatory requirements, firm policies, and agreed deadlines.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience in Employment taxes
- Employment related securities tax knowledge is desirable
- ATT qualified or equivalent
- Experience of dealing with HMRC
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of using MS Excel to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data
- Experience of monthly payroll processing (desired but not essential)
- Organised and motivated
- A driven person who will take ownership of tasks and drive to completion
- A good team player
