Internship - Test Engineer Trainee

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

• You will join the RAN Business Unit and will enjoy our culture of innovation, openness, discipline, simplicity, accountability, and profit mindset. 
• Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology). 
• Your unit’s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services. 
• Position: Test Engineer Trainee
• Duration: Part-time 6h/day 
• Location: On-site in Timisoara, Romania
• Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication/Computer Science/ Physics or a related field;
• Analyzing system concepts and complex product features, propose test scenarios accordingly to ensure seamless functionality;
• Building, integrating, and maintaining test environments for real-world scenarios;
• Developing automated test suites and scripts using industry-leading tools;
• Executing manual and automated test cases on real equipment and accurately reporting results;
• Writing and verifying defect reports to enhance product quality;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including system specification experts and developers, to drive improvements;
• Taking initiative and acting independently in routine matters to ensure efficient workflows.

Must Have:

• Knowledge of software quality, system integration, verification, and test documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated, innovative, and results-driven
• Effective communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-site environments
• Genuine interest in AI applications and emerging technology trends

Nice To Have:

• Experience in test automation – an advantage
• Knowledge of cloud platforms & tools – a plus
• Fast learner with the ability to share new competencies with the team
