HVAC Technician

HVAC Technician at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full time and will work 10-hour, Evening shifts.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of stationary equipment. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties.

Age-Related Competencies: Infant (28 days–1 year), Child (1-12 years), Adolescent (13-18 years), Adult (18-64 years), Geriatric (65 years–death).
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of patient's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for the primary population of patients served in the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National EPA Section 608 Certification - State County City Trade License Authority 
• 3 years Experience in at least four of the following: systems/equipment: electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, boilers, pumps, chillers, fire sprinklers, fire alarm, HVAC system, refrigeration, generators, and medical support equipment.
• 2 years Experience in a power plant setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Trade school attendance in any of the related fields.
• 4 years Hospital experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
