Job Overview
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and measuring Robinson suppliers’ performance defect ratio and work to resolve disruptions. Will collaborate with Procurement and Manufacturing teams on defining the Robinson requirements and communicate those to the suppliers.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
- Researching, sourcing, and assessing vendors to supply the necessary materials.
- Visiting vendor facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures.
- Performing regular quality control audits to ensure vendors continue to be compliant with Robinson standards.
- Reviewing incoming supplies and products to check for defects and ensure quality.
- Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
- Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
- Serving as a liaison between senior management and vendors to identify quality issues and create solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing and procurement support.
- Strong skills in statistical analysis and quality assurance (8D, 5Y, ICAR, SCAR, PPAP).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and quality standards.
- Ability to improve process efficiency and provide technical guidance.
- Excellent communication and liaison abilities.

Travel Requirements
Travel to other Robinson facilities and vendor facilities is required.
