Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for and involved in all aspects of aircraft 3D model creation and validation:
- Work shoulder to shoulder with technicians gathering the data
- Review, critique and approve data package deliverables from scanning team
- Interface regularly with end users of data to receive and fulfill custom data requests
- Lead and mentor younger engineers on your team
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Demonstrated experience with Catia V5
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Understanding of applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
