In this role, you will be working in the Subsea Production Controls Systems (PCS) business and you will develop products and provide solutions to meet client deliverables in the Subsea projects portfolio.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking mechanical engineering activities from initial customer requirements and developing them into design specifications, verifying the design and then converting them into manufacturing specifications and operating specifications.
- Identifying, assessing and taking actions to mitigate those risks to people, plant and the environment because of the engineering activities. In undertaking these assessments, it is important to ensure lessons learned are well communicated and reflected in the design activities.
- Ensuring all necessary engineering deliverables are identified to satisfy the contractual and third-party requirements for the work, the Engineer will be responsible for interpreting the customer and regulatory requirements, assessing the factors that will affect the outcome of the engineering activities and finally defining the engineering deliverables.
- Establishing the planning process through to the development of a schedule & prioritization for all assigned engineering duties & activities.
- Ensuring that assigned work is executed according to the necessary standard and schedule within budgets for duties and activities assigned.
- Ensuring that the engineering activities are implemented from the initial definition of customer requirements, planning the works through to the final handover to the client. This will include:
- Monitoring, coordinating and controlling the activities
- Complying with regulatory requirements
- Ensuring health safety and environmental risk control are paramount.
- Ensuring quality and quality plans are maintained.

- To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Mechanical/Industrial/Petroleum.
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
- Have experience in applying knowledge from Industry standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, API) when designing product.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience with 3D models and 2D machine detail drawings using CAD software.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Have good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Have the ability to apply thorough knowledge of engineering and drafting standards, codes and regulations affecting particular disciplines or drafting projects.
- Demonstrate experience of working with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment across different time zones.
- Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to identify and solve problems.
- Have excellent report writing and presentation skills and an ability to articulate technical information clearly.
