We are looking for an Internal Audit Manager to cover a temporary parental leave. This position is based in Helsinki and reports directly to the Head of Internal Audit. The position is preferably set to start in November 2025 and end in June 2026.
About The Role
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for managing and executing risk-based audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, as well as for providing objective assurance, advice and insight to Management and the Audit Committee. The role requires project management, communication and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering value-adding recommendations.
Key Tasks
- Manage and execute audits and investigations across multiple disciplines and jurisdictions, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, executing, and reporting internal audit work
- Focus audit work on areas assessed as “high risk” and make value-adding recommendations for the entity or process under review
- Ensure timely receipt and implementation of management action plans on audit recommendations and promptly issue audit reports
- Verify compliance with Sanoma’s policies, procedures, applicable laws, regulations, and governance standards
- Assess whether operations and programs are effective, efficient, and aligned with established goals and objectives
- Ensure the reliability and integrity of information, and confirm that resources and assets are acquired economically, used efficiently, and adequately protected
Formal Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in internal audit, internal control or risk management
- Possesses strong knowledge of business operations, internal controls, and internal audit procedures
- Certifications: CPA, CIA or CISA or other relevant certifications are preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of other Sanoma-Group languages (e.g. Finnish, Swedish, Dutch, Polish, Spanish, Italian etc.) is considered an advantage
