Production Supervisor – Shipping and Receiving Logistics
We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations in a unionized environment. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory flow, and ensuring all activities comply with company policies and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
• Supervise shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods
• Lead a team of unionized warehouse personnel, in a respectful and productive work environment
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors and internal departments to optimize logistics performance
• Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies through audits and cycle counts
• Support compliance with safety standards company policies and the Collective Agreement
• Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, receipts and inventory transactions
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Train and mentor team members on SOP's, SWP's and safe work practices.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a unionized environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, ERP platforms and shipping software.
• Familiarity with freight coordination, customs documentation, and inventory control
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
