Confluence Water, a Downer, Ventia and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three regional consortia delivering design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services for Sydney Water. As the North Delivery team, we stretch from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River, including the Hills Shire. Confluence Water is Sydney Water's partner responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works as part of a 10-year program.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager, a leadership role responsible for managing multiple projects, including Sydney Water pump station upgrades, high- and low-voltage installations and control systems. In this role, Project Supervisors and Project Engineers will have a dotted-line reporting to you.

This is a permanent position reporting to the Senior Project Manager, and you will be part of a collaborative, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall project management responsibility of assigned projects in accordance with the Confluence Water Delivery Lifecycle and Day 1 Readiness. This includes responsibility of the project from RFQ through Stage 1 to the completion of Stage 2 including close out.
  • Ensure compliance with Confluence Water Zero Harm Policies & Procedures and with Client and Statutory Authority Health, Safety & Environmental requirements, and legislation.
  • Manage the review, submission, negotiation and settlement of all invoicing, Compensation Events, delays, and claims with the client.
  • Maintain effective, open, and honest communication with the Project Sponsor, Project Principal/Client and Subcontractors to ensure that a good relationship is maintained throughout the life of the project.
  • Understand and implement the Partnering for Success (P4S) protocols and commitments to effectively achieve successful outcomes for the project, site, and broader business. 

 What You Will Bring 

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade-based experience in Project Management.
  • Extensive knowledge of High and Low voltage electrical and control systems.
  • Exposure to large infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, construction projects is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a Joint Venture situation is desirable.
