Job Description
About This Opportunity
The position is a full-time, fixed-term contract with a duration of 12 months.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Customer Service role is responsible for managing daily interactions with customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally. The customer base includes both external clients and internal stakeholders such as operations, technical, distribution, purchasing/planning, and quality teams. This role also manages all administrative processes related to customer engagement and provides critical support to Account Managers in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support the Sales Team by participating in forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking to help Account Managers meet targets efficiently.
- Process customer orders accurately and promptly using SAP, ensuring smooth order fulfillment and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Manage administrative tasks such as credit processing, pallet returns, and customer correspondence to support sales operations.
- Handle customer quality complaints by logging NCRs, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring timely responses.
- Communicate proactively with customers about changes, maintain contact databases, and share market insights with the team.
- Process all export orders against stock manufacturing dates and freight bookings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards by reporting hazards, participating in reviews, and supporting WHSE initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments including Distribution, Quality, and Site Services to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Your Skills And Experience:
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Proficiency with both excel and SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to compile and analyse performance reports.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and invoices.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer and company issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments (production, planning, distribution, procurement).
