Job Description

He aha te tūranga - About the role:  

The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, performance, and sustainability of our Public Training and Medical Product portfolio. Acting as the link between Programme Development, Marketing, Sales, and Delivery, the role ensures training offerings are market-fit, commercially sound, and aligned to organisational priorities.

By managing lifecycle performance, championing customer voice, and enabling cross-functional delivery, the Product Manager ensures the portfolio remains relevant, competitive, and positioned for long-term success.

You Will:

  • Lead the direction of our first aid training portfolio, ensuring it meets customer needs and stays ahead of market trends.
  • Track performance across revenue, uptake, and customer impact to deliver strong commercial and learner outcomes.
  • Bring together Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Programme Development to deliver products that truly make a difference.
  • Use customer insights, industry data, and emerging trends to fuel innovation and identify growth areas.
  • Manage products from launch to retirement, ensuring our offerings stay relevant, high-quality, and impactful.

This is a permanent, full-time role, and we are open to locations throughout the motu. 

Qualifications

You’ll be a strategic thinker and confident communicator who builds strong relationships, spots opportunities ahead of the curve, and delivers results in a fast-moving environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in product or portfolio management, including driving product success through lifecycle management and performance optimisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret revenue, margin, and uptake data to inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse, and apply market, customer, and competitor insights to guide product strategy.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional alignment, working with development, sales, marketing, and operations to deliver product or portfolio outcomes.
  • Skilled in managing product success reviews and translating insights into actionable improvements.
