Role Overview
The GPL Offline Product Owner will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle of offline personal needs loans (General Purpose Loans – GPL), with a specific focus on solutions distributed through tbi branches and partner networks. From conceptualization to launch, you will lead project execution and delivery, ensuring each release enhances customer experience and operational performance.
You will work at the intersection of product and project management, with a deep understanding of personal lending, customer behavior, and branch channel dynamics. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for delivering high-quality financial products to offline customers.
What You’Ll Do:
Product Management
- Lead the end-to-end product management process for GPL (General Purpose Loans) distributed through offline channels, including branches and partner locations.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis focused on personal needs loans in the offline lending space.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and goals aligned with branch channel growth.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap based on customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Define and prioritize product requirements, working closely with development, QA, and design teams.
- Coordinate product releases across tbi branches, ensuring front-office readiness, staff training, and system preparedness.
- Drive UAT and business acceptance testing for every offline GPL release, collecting feedback from end-users (branch staff and customers).
- Analyze customer feedback and loan performance data to iterate and improve GPL offerings continuously.
Project Management
- Plan and execute product-related projects, including process redesigns and new feature rollouts within the branch lending environment.
- Develop detailed project plans with clear timelines, goals, and deliverables specific to the GPL offline flow.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between design, engineering, risk, legal, branch operations, and customer support.
- Manage risks, identify bottlenecks, and adapt delivery plans to ensure on-time, in-scope, and on-budget completion.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth communication between central teams and field teams involved in GPL execution.
- Document key learnings, project evaluations, and best practices for future GPL releases.
Requirements
What You’Ll Need To Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in product and project management, ideally within banking, lending, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of offline personal lending (GPL), including processes, regulations, and customer needs.
- Experience launching or managing products distributed via branch networks or physical partner locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams across the organization.
- Strong planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Comfort with data analysis and performance tracking to support decisions and measure impact.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, credit, legal, and customer service.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a drive to improve operational flows and customer experience in offline channels.
