Job vacancy: Product Owner – Payments Workflow
The Payments Workflow squad is responsible for ensuring the seamless design, implementation, and operation of payment processing solutions across multiple channels and platforms. The squad collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulators to optimize payments efficiency, security, and customer experience. Beyond operational management, the team drives initiatives to innovate and enhance payment flows, improve automation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
As a Product Owner within the Payments Workflow squad, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the product roadmap for payment solutions. You will translate business needs and customer pain points into actionable, value-added features, aligned with regulatory requirements and operational risk standards.
In this role you will:
• Lead the Payments Workflow squad by articulating a clear product vision and driving the delivery of payment initiatives aligned with business priorities;
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units, technology, risk, and compliance to ensure the payments solutions meet functional, security, and regulatory standards;
• Manage the product backlog, prioritize features, and oversee agile delivery cycles to maximize value and efficiency;
• Foster close cooperation with external vendors and partners to enhance payment system capabilities and integration;
• Monitor and analyze payment process performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements;
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks and dependencies associated with payment workflows and projects;
• Participate in the definition and execution of digital strategies that leverage emerging payment technologies and industry trends;
• Communicate product vision, roadmap, and delivery status effectively to stakeholders at all levels;
• Support innovation initiatives such as hackathons and ideation workshops focused on payment solutions;
• Track the realization of business benefits and adoption metrics post-implementation.

- We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in product ownership, product management, or related roles within payments or financial services;
- Strong understanding of payment processing systems, payment schemes, and regulatory requirements;
- Proven experience working with agile methodologies and product lifecycle management;
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear product requirements;
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
Or
• At least 5 years of experience in payments processing, financial services, or banking operations with a strong understanding of payment systems, payment schemes, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of payment workflows, including clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in product ownership, project management, or delivery of payment-related initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate requirements and collaborate across multiple business functions, technology teams, and external vendors to support the successful delivery and operation of payment workflows.
A combination of both qualifications & experience will be considered.
