About The Job
As Umbra scales its commercial partnerships globally, we are seeking a strategic and customer-obsessed Account Executive to oversee and grow our portfolio of commercial accounts. You will play a pivotal role in nurturing long-term client relationships, ensuring delivery excellence, and expanding account revenue. You will lead renewals, manage performance reporting, and respond to dynamic customer needs through proposal writing and joint business planning. At Umbra, our success is directly linked to the success of our partners. A top candidate for this position will possess exceptional communication skills to effectively connect Umbra’s value proposition with customer needs. Our partners count on us to align with their sense of urgency and deliver prompt, clear, and concise information that facilitates their business growth.
This position is based on-site in our Arlington, VA office.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing relationships with commercial accounts both domestically and internationally.
- Weekly and monthly reporting of performance in (and to) key accounts.
- Anomaly investigation and escalation of ordering patterns in the portfolio.
- Proposal writing and non-standard quote preparation.
- Responsiveness to expansion opportunities, including joint proposals.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in account management, customer success, or commercial sales.
- Strong understanding to the geospatial analytics partner ecosystem.
- Proven ability to manage and grow enterprise-level accounts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
- Strong business writing skills for proposals and reports.
- Analytical mindset for interpreting customer usage and performance metrics.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and strategic conferences and events as necessary, both domestic and international.
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years in account management, customer success, or commercial sales.
- Experience in remote sensing, geospatial services, or SaaS delivery.
- Prior exposure to SAR, EO, or geospatial analytics markets.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and subscription/consumption-based revenue models.

Pay Transparency
This job posting may cover multiple career levels. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role’s function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.
Compensation Range
The Compensation Range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000 DOE.
