Purpose
The Public Security – Travel & Transport (IPS T&T) department within the Public Security business unit is responsible for delivering large-scale systems integration and deployment projects for border management, transport, and public security customers worldwide.
In this context, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager based in Malaysia. Responsible for the cost, on-time delivery and quality of Travel & Transport domain projects within the Global context.
Key Missions
- Acts as the technical lead to support and assume full ownership and autonomy in managing projects, overseeing up to =< 10k hours of work, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards, from project inception to completion and ramp up phase of the project.
- Take charge of identifying staffing needs for projects, ensuring adequate resources for successful project execution.
- Manage and follow technically the project and its schedule with the different stakeholders: customer, subcontractors and IDEMIA contributors.
- Acts as the scrum master to ensure that the project development follows the agile methodology
- Provide strong technical leadership and guidance to the technical team across the MYS and APAC region.
- Understands and analyzes customer requirements, data format specifications, interface specifications, etc and translate them into technical document.
- Technical and requirements authority for all technical, operational and customer related activities.
- Own and develop relationship with partners, customers and internal product team working with them to optimize our delivery.

- Coach, motivate and mentor team members with the intent to build a credible and motivate team to serve our customer with pride, passion and professionalism.
- Subject Matter Expert for all IPS Travel & Transport related domain, technologies and operations.

Profile & Other Information
We are looking for a technical project manager with a strong solid experience in software and systems integration in the domain of Public Security – Travel and Transport as well as in management of complex projects in an international context. The candidate shall also be a manager for his/her team and embark them in a common vision. With a strong leadership, he/she will be able to work as a team with internal departments such as the IPS T&T regional team based in Singapore, the Solutions and Technical Authority team in France, and other Public Security business stakeholders. Autonomous, he/she has to anticipate and analyze the needs of our customers.
- More than 10 - 15 years of technical experiences and 5 years of team management experiences.
- Involved in many software development cycles and familiar in SDLC and/or agile project implementation.
- Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving skill.
- Mature people management and team building. A people manager.

- Must have a positive attitude, team player, energetic and passionate with technology

- Has at least a university degree in IT/Software Engineering.
- PMP certified (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
- Willing to travel; business trips include APAC region and to HQ in France.
- To be successful in this role he/she must be an independent, self-starter and have a positive attitude towards learning business, operation and technology.
