Brief Job Overview
USP is completing a transition from Pardot to Adobe Marketo. We’re hiring a hands‑on (Senior) Marketo Specialist to stabilize, scale, and continually optimize the new stack—owning campaign operations, data integrity, email campaigns, and cross‑functional enablement in a highly regulated pharma industry.

The role is a critical role in the Digital Marketing Center of Excellence at USP. The individual will lead the integration of channels to and adoption of Marketo at USP. The following are the main responsibilities of this role:
1) Platform ownership & governance
- Administer Marketo workspaces/partitions, user permissions, foldering, and naming conventions.
- Build and maintain program & email/LP templates, snippets, tokens, and scalable architectures for repeatable campaigns.
- Manage and improve subscription center, preference management, and email deliverability best practices.
2) Migration stabilization (Pardot → Marketo)
- Validate the current field schema, mappings, and sync rules; drive remediation where gaps exist.
- Establish data normalization (country/state, job functions, titles), deduplication, and enrichment practices.
- Monitor and resolve sync errors (Marketo <-> Salesforce), API failures, and form submission anomalies.
- Maintain a living audit file for incident response, and rollback paths.
3) Campaign build, execution & optimization
- Design and launch lifecycle, nurture, and trigger programs: engagement streams, one‑to‑many emails, webinars/events, gated content (e.g., LinkedIn Document Ads), and store/product flows.
- Implement A/B testing plans (subject, creative, send time, CTA), frequency caps, and audience logic.
- Govern form strategy: standard fields, validation, hidden UTM capture, and cross‑platform mapping (Marketo forms & LinkedIn Lead Gen).
- Adjust scoring models (behavioral + demographic) and coordinate MQL definitions and SLAs with Sales.
4) Data flow, CRM & integrations
- Own the Marketo–Salesforce integration: campaign member statuses, lead/contact/account sync, routing, and lifecycle stages.
- Manage integrations with LinkedIn, Google and Meta Ads.
- Enforce UTM and attribution governance; partner with Analytics on dashboards (Adobe Analytics/GA4/Tableau) and pipeline influence.
5) Compliance & documentation
- Publish SOPs, playbooks, and training; run internal office hours to upskill marketers and sales partners.
Who is USP Looking For?

- 4+ years industry experience with degree in business, engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years hands‑on experience in Adobe Marketo Engage (build + admin).
- Proven ownership of end‑to‑end B2B campaign operations at scale (program architecture, nurtures, scoring, routing).
- Strong data mindset: field schemas, normalization, deduping, UTM governance, and troubleshooting complex sync issues.
- Solid Salesforce CRM proficiency (Leads/Contacts/Accounts/Opportunities, Campaigns, member statuses, routing).
- Fluency with testing & optimization, reporting, and translating results into next‑step experiments.
- Comfort working in a regulated B2B environment with formal approvals and audits.
