Job Description Summary
Core purpose: The Associate Director, Scrum of Scrums (AD-SoS) is a servant leader and agile facilitator responsible for coordinating multiple Scrum teams working toward a shared product vision. This role ensures cross-team alignment, removes systemic impediments, and drives continuous improvement across scaled agile delivery. The AD-SoS plays a pivotal role in enabling enterprise agility, fostering collaboration, and ensuring transparency across teams and stakeholders.This role will report directly into the Group Head, MarTech Product Management while works closely with Executive Director, Product Strategy, partnering with other product owners, marketing operations teams and technology teams.

Major Accountabilities
Scaled Agile Facilitation
- Lead and facilitate the Scrum of Scrums ceremonies (weekly or bi-weekly), ensuring productive, time-boxed sessions. Coordinate sprint goals, dependencies, and release planning across multiple Scrum teams.
- Ensure scaled events (e.g., PI Planning, System Demos, Retrospectives) are effective and aligned with enterprise objectives. Facilitate retrospectives and help teams identify areas for enhancements.
- Partner with Scrum Masters to improve team-level performance, address issues like task prioritization, ensure team stays on track and adjusting plans as needed
Cross-Team Coordination & Dependency Management
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Agile Coaches to manage inter-team dependencies.
- Work closely with the Chief Product Owner to deliver potentially releasable product increments every sprint. Radiate information on progress, impediments, and metrics to stakeholders and leadership. Acts as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring everyone is informed about the progress, challenges and changes
Impediment Management
- Identify and escalate cross-team blockers and systemic issues. Facilitate prioritization and resolution of impediments, especially those impacting multiple teams.
Agile Leadership
- Mentor Scrum Masters on agile principles, scaled frameworks (e.g., SAFe), and continuous improvement. Promote servant leadership, transparency, and a culture of collaboration.
- Champion agile values such as commitment, focus, openness, respect, and courage. Promotes a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes.
Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report on team health, velocity, and delivery metrics. Use tools like Jira, Confluence, and burndown charts to visualize progress and identify trends.
- Responsible for identifying and managing risks and work towards proactively mitigating risks.
