About The Position
At our bright and sunny office in Santa Iria, we are looking for a Financial Controller to support our daily operations in Portugal. This role offers a broad overview of our finance and industrial activities and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will be responsible for managing daily transactions, maintaining clear accounts, reviewing accounting and fiscal information, and preparing cash forecasts. You will report directly to the Financial Manager, supporting the Industrial Controller and collaborate closely with our shared services group, tax and treasury teams, and our outsourcing partner, Cap Gemini.
You Will:
- Support the Industrial and Financial Controller in monitoring and analyzing variances from budget and forecast, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Monitor the execution and classification of Group CAPEX.
- Review and approve weekly payment runs and manage incoming invoices.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities, including journal postings.
- Ensure the integrity of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow.
- Submit required reports to local authorities (INE, Banco de Portugal).
- Monitor and analyze industrial costs (labor, utilities, maintenance, other production costs).
- Prepare operational reports and support KPI definition and deviation analysis.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
So what does it take to be successful in this role?
You are a finance professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar Finance or Controller role. You have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, coupled with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. You are proficient in Excel, and experience with SAP or Power BI would be considered a strong advantage. With a proactive mindset and a passion for identifying and delivering growth opportunities, you bring both accuracy and strategic thinking to your work. Fluency in English is essential for success in this role.
