Rendeavour is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to serve as a technical cornerstone for our most ambitious projects. This pivotal role demands a seasoned expert capable of leading the structural design of complex high-rise and large-scale buildings, from conceptualization through to construction completion. The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer who will not only ensure the technical integrity and optimization of our designs but will also act as a dedicated mentor, responsible for developing the skills of our junior engineering talent. This position is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between the design office and the construction site, requiring a hands-on problem-solver who can provide decisive technical support and ensure seamless project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Design Leadership & Technical Oversight

  • Lead the structural design process for complex, large-scale projects including high-rise mixed-use towers, residential complexes, hotels, and industrial facilities.
  • Perform demanding reviews and provide final approval on all structural design documents, including technical reports, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance.
  • Direct and coordinate the checking of plans and specifications for conformance with relevant international codes (e.g., ACI, Eurocode, IBC) and local building regulations.2
  • Conduct comprehensive value engineering analyses on structural systems and details to optimize for cost, constructability, and performance without compromising design integrity or safety.
  • Develop safe and efficient structural solutions and undertake advanced design analysis for a variety of reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Manage and respond to all structural Requests for Information (RFIs) in a timely and decisive manner, providing clear, actionable solutions to prevent project delays.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, assess structural integrity during construction, and proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure a seamless, integrated, and collaborative project delivery approach.
  • Oversee and review construction materials and methodologies to ensure alignment with design requirements and quality standards.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Develop and implement training programs and best-practice workflows to enhance the technical capabilities and efficiency of the structural engineering team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and collective problem-solving

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive, post-graduate experience in the structural design of large-scale buildings is required.4
  • Demonstrated track record in designing a diverse portfolio of structures, including high-rise residential/mixed-use buildings, hotels, and industrial facilities.
  • Expert-level knowledge of both reinforced concrete (including precast and post-tensioned systems) and structural steel design methodologies.
  • Proven experience in the design and analysis of deep foundations, including various piling systems.
  • Proficiency in the application of structural engineering principles and technologies is essential.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level is required in AutoCAD, ETABS / SAP2000, SAFE, Revit (Structural Modeling & Detailing), PROKON, PROTA STRUCTURE.
