About the Role
Seven Starling is seeking a VP of Product to lead product strategy and execution as we scale our specialized women’s mental health platform across the country. Reporting to the COO, you'll be the company's senior-most product leader, shaping how we serve patients, clinicians, and the healthcare system through thoughtfully designed digital experiences. This is a defining role for a true builder who thrives at the intersection of healthcare complexity and product innovation. You'll inherit strong technical foundations and rapidly scaling products that serve healthcare organizations, patients, providers, and our internal operations. Your role will be to prioritize ruthlessly, drive strategic bets, and unlock our next phase of growth.

What You'Ll Do

• Own and drive product strategy: Define the complete product roadmap, making high-stakes prioritization decisions that balance clinical outcomes, operational scalability, patient experience, and business growth objectives.
• Lead AI product innovation: Drive our AI strategy, identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage emerging tools and technologies to transform care delivery and operational efficiency.
• Partner with engineering as a strategic peer: Collaborate closely with our Founding Senior Principal Engineer to balance ambitious product vision with technical excellence, making joint decisions on architecture, feasibility, and build/buy tradeoffs that shape our platform's future.
• Drive hands-on product execution: Author detailed PRDs, technical specifications, and product documentation. Roll up your sleeves to dig deep into feature logic, user flows, edge cases, and data models to ensure products are built for impact.
• Orchestrate large cross-functional initiatives: Lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects across clinical, engineering, operations, growth, and revenue cycle teams to deliver on strategic goals.
• Navigate healthcare complexity: Build products that meet the needs of HIPAA compliance requirements, clinical safety protocols, and reimbursement models while maintaining a relentless focus on user experience.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high performing product organization: Scale a world-class product culture as the company grows, scaling product practices, rituals, and standards.

Who You Are

• Experienced product leader: 10+ years in product management with 3+ years leading product at the VP/Director level
• Startup scaler: Proven experience at Series A-C startups, having scaled products from early stage to growth. You’re unafraid to dive deep into the details, but also able to quickly step back and define the big picture.
• Healthcare native: Deep, hands-on experience building and scaling products in digital health, clinical settings, or regulated healthcare environments. Fluent in healthcare stakeholder dynamics across patients, clinicians, payers, and health systems.
• AI product innovator: Genuine passion for experimenting with emerging AI tools, with the ability to translate breakthrough capabilities into practical healthcare applications that balance innovation with clinical rigor.
• Strategic thinker and executor: Track record of driving end-to-end product strategy that created measurable business outcomes, with evidence of products that healthcare providers, patients, or healthcare organizations actually adopted and loved.
• Data-driven decision maker: Ability to get deep into KPI’s and dashboards to measure and evaluate what matters as well as partner with engineering on the design of algorithms and the key logic systems underlying our infrastructure
• Skilled communicator and project manager: Exceptional track record facilitating complex projects across clinical, technical, and business stakeholders, with ability to build consensus while maintaining conviction on strategic decisions.
• Technically credible: Strong technical acumen to engage meaningfully with engineering leadership on architecture decisions and technical tradeoffs.
• Team builder & developer: Experience building and managing product teams from the early stage, with proven ability to develop product talent and scale product culture.
• Genuine advocate for our mission: Passionate about our mission and able to demonstrate strong customer empathy as well as translate that into impactful product decisions.

• Background in mental/behavioral health technology
• Hands-on experience implementing AI solutions in clinical or healthcare products
• Experience growing and scaling product organizations at startups through major funding milestones
