Senior Director, Assistant Corporate Controller
The Senior Director, Assistant Corporate Controller will own and lead Intapp’s monthly close, consolidation process and the preparation of internal reporting packages. This position is responsible for overseeing SEC Reporting, technical accounting, Sales Commission, General Ledger and consolidation functions while working closely with the international reporting functions, reporting to the VP of Finance, Corporate Controller.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant consolidated financial statements.
- Oversee the external reporting team ensure timely and accurate delivery of the SEC filing, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and related disclosures and filings in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulation.
- Oversee the capitalized software development accounting process, ensuring compliance with applicable guidance. Establish and maintain policies and procedures for evaluating and capitalizing internal-use software development costs.
- Oversee sales commission administrative process and ensure accurate accounting treatments and recording.
- Maintain and update corporate accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly internal reporting packages and be the primary reviewer of such deliverables.
- Oversee and review the monthly and quarterly fluctuation analyses.
- Support the quarterly disclosure committee meeting and the quarterly audit committee meeting materials
- Coordination of deliverables to external auditors and be the primary liaison for the audit team.
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and operational departments to support business initiatives, M&A activity and ongoing reporting requirement.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and technology-enabled automation.
- Participate/lead other ad-hoc projects as needed
What You Will Need:
- 13+ plus years working in a corporate accounting position, with 4 years in a leadership role leading large team at a public company.
- Experience with operational accounting including consolidation and SEC reporting.
- Minimum 4 years management experience, with demonstrated strengths in team building and managing performance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience managing multi location teams (remote teams).
- Self-Starter, who is very comfortable working independently, but also works well within and across teams.
- Strong problem solving, planning, quality control, adaptability and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Detailed oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Process-oriented with experience in documenting processes and procedures.
- Experience with NetSuite, Blackline, Tableau, Knime, or Alteryx applications is highly desirable.
