The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $85,900 to $107,375
Job Summary
Work with Company personnel, manufacturers, suppliers, and representatives of gas materials, gas metering and gas service regulators to support and review for consideration new devices and standardize existing devices. Planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient, cost-effective flow and storage of materials and in-process inventory to reduce the total life cycle costs. This position reports to the Lead Supervisor - Logistics and will have cross opco responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides value-added information regarding market developments and supplier delivery capabilities, so that Logistics is a highly regarded business partner.
- Fosters cooperation within and across Avangrid
- Demonstrate the ability to provide a leadership role and be capable of filling in for the Logistics Supervisor
- Review, inspect, verify, and maintain levels (Min/Max/Reorder point) of all required materials, tools, appliances, and other items.
- As necessary, identify modifications to existing systems and processes
- Lead investigations of new Gas metering technology
- Support existing and implement enhancements to Gas Meter reading systems
- Lead standardization efforts for Gas Meters, Regulators, and communication modules across operating companies.
- Work with the standards group to standardize materials between SCG, CNG and BGC.
- Work with the purchasing and procurement teams in identifying and communicating vendor / material lead times and substitutes based on availability
- Be the “Point person” for the execution of Dival purchase requests / work with resource management team to procure.
- Work with standards group to Review update and resolve SAP data base information to include duplicate material MID’s , descriptions and specs
- Represent the Logistics and Metering group at the standardization meetings.
- Work with the standards group with the creation of new SAP MID’s
- Work with project managers and Logistics group when large, comprehensive construction projects are implemented.
- Provides occasional Supervisory coverage.
- Provides assistance as needed to the Meter Shop for parts and materials
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of Gas Materials
- Knowledge of Gas Regulator
- Understanding of supply chain systems
- Experience with gas line installations and troubleshooting in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory Experience preferred
- Strong computer and analytical skills including knowledge of SAP
- Working knowledge of gas materials and procurement procedures
