About The Role
At Dyson, we take a problem solving approach to everything we do. Located at our Dyson Flagship Store, our Retail Sales Assistants are enthusiastic brand ambassadors, providing the ultimate owner experience explaining our technology, support queries, answering technical questions about machines and cross-selling Dyson products and services to existing owners. Our Retail Assistants are Dyson advocates who know our technology inside out and are excited by it. They are the face of Dyson, connecting our world leading and pioneering technology with shoppers and owners.
Main responsibilities include but not limited to:-
- Proactively engage customers, question their needs, and deliver hands-on demonstrations showcasing the unique benefits of Dyson technology using the 4E's How to Sell framework
- Take personal responsibility for achieving individual and store-based KPIs, including daily, weekly, and monthly sales, premium mix, and conversion targets
- Advise customers on promotions, new technology, and cross-sell Dyson products and services to new and existing owners
- Own and troubleshoot customer issues, performing hands-on technical diagnostics and advising on suitable resolutions, including repair options and pricing, aiming for a first-touch resolution
- Accurately process all transactions (cash, credit card, cheque), complete end-of-day balances, and maintain customer and interaction data in the CRM and computerised database
- Ensure a high standard of visual merchandising, maintain sufficient stock levels, execute point-of-sale displays, and complete general store operational duties (e.g., cleaning, gift wrapping, filing)
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a hard-working, ambitious individual with the determination, passion, and drive for results necessary to achieve targets. You'll have a keen interest in technology and the ability to combine strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, confident, and engaging manner to communicate complex information simply to our owners and shoppers. You demonstrate high standards of personal presentation, possess excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, and are comfortable working independently to meet your responsibilities.
Previous Skills & Experience:
- Customer service and/or sales experience
- Experience within a premium retail environment is advantageous
- An understanding of retail principles such as visual merchandising and sales targets
