We are looking for a Senior Accountant of Statutory and International Compliance to drive our global financial reporting and make impactful improvements in international reporting processes. In this role, you’ll be a key financial professional responsible for ensuring compliance across the Company’s large international footprint. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including external accounting advisors and external auditors, to maintain accurate international financial reporting and statutory compliance.

Successful candidates will possess a combination of strong international accounting and reporting knowledge and an ability to dive into unknown problems and devise solutions. The successful candidate will have a "roll-up-the-sleeves'' attitude, be able to multitask and be willing to learn and thrive in a very fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination with our international accounting advisors to support the preparation, review and filing of statutory financial statements for overseas operations, maintaining compliance with local standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the external audit process of our international entities, working closely with our accounting advisors and auditors to ensure a timely and accurate completion of the audit.
  • Support certain monthly close activities for our international entities in NetSuite, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations and other critical financial analyses.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the international financial reporting and compliance process. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on international financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements
  • IFRS and US GAAP experience required, other local GAAP preferred
  • Proactive work ethic, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization, time management and project management skills
  • Agility to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate complex accounting concepts
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to obtain all relevant facts, understand the business requirements, articulate the accounting requirements and communicate the conclusions reached

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NetSuite software preferred, although not required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills required
  • Project management and supervisory experience
