About the Role
As a Franchise Engineering Program Manager at Abbott, you will be responsible for driving the strategic and operational execution of capital engineering projects within one franchise. You will lead the development and alignment of the Capital Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Capital Plan, ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and reliability standards. This role requires strong coordination with internal stakeholders and EPCM contractors to deliver high-impact engineering solutions that support manufacturing capacity and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and align the franchise’s Capital LRP and Annual Capital Plan (10–20 MMEUR/year).
- Coordinate feasibility, concept, and basic design studies with internal teams and EPCM contractors, ensuring they are delivered on time and in compliance with required standards.
- Lead the submission of RCEs and secure necessary resources for project execution.
- Oversee all engineering projects in execution, ensuring alignment with franchise goals and regulatory standards.
- Manage financial and progress reporting in collaboration with EPCM contractors, franchise leadership, and Abbott’s Project Controller.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across Division Management, Franchise Senior Management, and cross-functional departments.
- Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering, with a strong background in project and team management.
- Proven experience working with EPCM contractors and cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of GMP, EHS, and reliability standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English.
