About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal – Strategic Business Analyst (ITS) to join our team. This role provide specialist expertise to elicit, analyse, and communicate requirements for changes to systems, business processes, policies, and data. You will play a key part in shaping business requirements, designing effective solutions, and preparing business cases that enable successful delivery outcomes across the organisation.

Working closely with stakeholders, you will provide recommendations for process redesign and improvement, ensuring solutions are sustainable, customer-focused, and aligned with corporate strategy.

What the role will involve

  • Lead the end-to-end analysis of business problems and requirements, applying a range of perspectives including Agile, Technology, Finance, and Business Process Management.
  • Develop and support robust business cases, process improvements, and solution recommendations that align with corporate strategy.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to elicit, validate and document requirements, ensuring clear alignment between business needs and outcomes.
  • Facilitate financial and commercial analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Maintain high engagement with project teams, ensuring requirements are tracked, risks are managed, and deliverables are achieved.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Technology, Finance, Business Improvement).
  • Considerable experience as a Technology Business Analyst or equivalent, ideally in large, complex organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of IIBA BABOK and Agile methodologies, with experience applying Scrum, Lean, or Kanban.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, including business case development and procurement activities.
  • Experience with business process modelling (UML, BPMN) and writing testable functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
