The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our Land MSP Program, supporting the Integrated Soldier Systems Branch. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering meaningful defence projects that directly support Australia’s capability.
As the Project Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for driving the timely achievement of project milestones through effective schedule development, analysis, and management. Working closely with procurement, materials management, and engineering teams, you’ll help prioritise resources, forecast requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.
You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of project control processes, applying your analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to enhance efficiency and visibility across the program
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling.
- Coordinates with procurement, materials managers, and engineering work group leads regarding essential supply items.
- Provides priorities for projects to guarantee timely completion.
- Contributes to forecasts and resource disbursements by performing schedule analysis.
- Solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of project controls and industry best practices.
- Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
- May provide guidance to less experienced team members.
- Other duties as directed.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated competence and experience in using the Open Plan Professional (OPP) tool (Essential).
- Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and project control methodologies.
- Minium 4 years’ experience in project scheduling or planning within Defence, or a similarly complex environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse technical teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- All candidates must have an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance to be eligible to apply. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
