About Aidoc
Aidoc is the market leader in Healthcare AI. We deliver the most widely used portfolio of AI solutions to help physicians prioritize life-threatening cases and improve patient outcomes. Aidoc’s solutions are in use in over 1,000 hospitals, including the leading health systems in the US. Aidoc is funded by top VCs, having raised more than $250 million to date, and was chosen as one of TIME’s 50 most genius companies.
About This Role
We're hiring a senior-level data scientist to lead our efforts in analyzing complex, site-specific hospital data (EHR/EMR) to surface the most meaningful clinical and operational impact signals from our solutions.
This is not a modeling or tooling role, it’s primarily about thinking clearly, creatively, and strategically about data. This person will need to sift through massive, messy EHR datasets, understand care pathways, and identify which patients, contexts, and timeframes show the strongest measurable benefit from our solutions.
They should have deep experience working with clinical or similarly messy operational data, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity, incomplete definitions, and site-specific quirks.
We're looking for someone who is both curious and outcome-focused - someone who can ask the right questions, explore ideas independently, and ultimately distill complex data into insights that drive product direction, improve customer conversations, and sharpen our ROI story.
Responsibilities
- Own the process of analyzing site-specific EHR data to identify high-impact cohorts (e.g., where length of stay was most affected, or complications reduced).
- Using sophisticated statistical methods to design and run causal analyses across patient timelines, stratified by diagnosis, treatment windows, time of day, etc.
- Continuously iterate on the definition of “impact”, finding ways to cut the data that surface meaningful differences.
- Support product and commercial teams with evidence narratives for specific use cases or customers.
- Maintain strong internal communication around findings, assumptions, and limitations — not everything will be clean, and that’s expected.
Requirements
- 5+ years in data science, with strong experience in unstructured observational data.
- Fluency in Python and SQL, and ability to work efficiently with large dataframes and timelines.
- Strong theoretical and practical grounding in statistics and causal inference.
- Deep intuition for healthcare workflows and real-world data messiness.
- Demonstrated ability to zoom out - not just do the analysis, but also frame the right question and communicate the key message.
- Bsc (or higher) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering.
Critical Traits:
- Creative with data - can spot patterns or frame questions that others wouldn’t.
- Goal-oriented - keeps the business/clinical outcome in mind while exploring.
- Resilient to ambiguity - knows how to move forward even when definitions are squishy.
- Able to focus on what matters, not just what’s clean or convenient to analyze.
