About This Role
The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting will oversee all aspects of technical accounting research, implementation, and compliance related to SEC regulations, notably Regulation S-X. This role is responsible for corporate external filings, financial reporting for earnings releases, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Additionally, it entails founding the company’s Disclosure Committee, spearheading various compliance and reporting projects, and enhancing group performance. Reporting directly to the Global Corporate Controller, this hands-on role demands a critical thinker with robust skills in accounting and finance management, with a strong technical accounting background.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Technical Accounting and Research: Lead all financial research initiatives by analyzing new, proposed, and complex accounting standards as well as non-routine transactions. Determine appropriate accounting treatments, and prepare comprehensive memorandums that assess and document the impact of these standards and conclusions on the company.
- SEC Compliance and Reporting: Prepare and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, prepared in accordance with GAAP and 10-Q and 10-K SEC requirements, along with multiple foreign entities financial reporting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Financial Planning & Analysis, on significant transactions and technical accounting matters.
- Corporate Policies: Write and implement practical corporate policies, manage internal audits, coordinate financial reporting for external audits, and play a pivotal role in establishing frameworks for accounting practices, including stock compensation.
- Internal Controls and Procedures: Responsible for the ongoing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls, and leading the risk management by documenting and enhancing financial procedures.
Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other similar field (or equivalent work experience) required
- 8+ years in accounting, preferably in similar roles within publicly traded companies, involving detailed knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Prior public accounting experience preferred
- Professional background in accounting for a clearing or investment firm, proprietary trading, bank, or trust company preferred.
- Experience using Workiva and NetSuite accounting software or an equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Leadership: Proven ability in managing teams, delivering projects from inception through execution, influencing cross-functional collaboration.
- Communication: Strong capability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, auditors, and board members.

- Technological Proficiency: High level of expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience in automating processes and system integrations to optimize reporting efficiency.
Work Envrionment
- This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.

Salary Range
$128,800-$161,000The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
