As part of strengthening our Valmet performance Center and Industrial Internet organization, we are looking for a Data and Operation Specialist to develop, deliver and maintain the data-driven applications and services. The position offers a versatile opportunity to contribute to various aspects of Valmet’s digital transformation – from solution delivery to development and operational support. 

The position is preferably based in Jyväskylä, Vantaa or Tampere in Finland but other major Valmet locations can also be considered. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer data collection, availability, quality, and performance. 
  • Commission data driven analytics solutions. 
  • Build dashboards and reports (Valmet Process Insight, Tableau). 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to develop solutions. 
  • Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructures. 
  • Incident management and monitoring 
  • Documentation and process maintenance. 
  • Participate in and facilitate development projects. 

Who is the candidate we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., computer science, data science, automation). 
  • 3+ years of experience in data, analytics, or cloud services. 
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, AWS, Snowflake, Airflow. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork ability, and systematic working style. 
  • Experience in machine learning, signal processing, or predictive maintenance is a plus. 
  • Fluent English and Finnish languages. Other languages are seen as benefit.
