OCU is seeking a dynamic and experienced Telecoms Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of fibre optic network projects.
This is a pivotal role in driving the success of our telecommunications infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, and resource needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure deliverables are met.
- Monitor progress and proactively address any issues or deviations
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, regulators, and internal teams.
- Communicate project milestones and updates clearly and consistently.
- Resolve stakeholder concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Implement quality control processes and conduct regular inspections.
- Maintain safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate technical, financial, and operational risks.
- Develop contingency plans to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing fibre optic or telecom infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of fibre technologies (FTTH, FTTP, FTTB) and network design.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- PMP, Agile, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus.
