To provide high-quality, efficient, and patient-focused admission services in accordance with hospital policies and UAE healthcare regulations. The role involves handling patient registrations, admissions, insurance verification, and coordination with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth and professional admission experience.
- Patient Admission & Registration:
- Register and admit patients in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Ensure accurate collection and entry of patient demographics, medical history, and identification documents.
- Explain hospital policies, admission procedures, and patient rights and responsibilities.
- Insurance Verification & Authorization:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Obtain pre-authorizations and approvals from insurance providers where required.
- Coordinate with the billing department to ensure correct insurance classification.
- Customer Service:
- Greet patients and visitors courteously.
- Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Provide clear information on procedures, waiting times, and billing.
- Coordination:
- Liaise with nursing units, medical records, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Notify appropriate departments of incoming admissions (e.g., Emergency, Inpatient, Day Surgery).
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all required forms are completed and signed.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of patient records in compliance with DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) regulations.
- Follow hospital policies regarding infection control and patient safety.
- Cash Handling (if applicable):
- Collect co-payments, deposits, and other fees.
- Issue receipts and maintain records of financial transactions

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
- 1–3 years experience in hospital admissions or front office in the UAE or GCC healthcare sector
- Familiarity with UAE health insurance systems (e.g., Thiqa, Daman, NAS, Oman, etc.)
- Knowledge of HIS systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic, TrakCare) is an advantage
- Good command of English (Arabic is a plus)
