The Role:

Reporting into the COO, you will be a senior leader within the Finance function, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control, tax, and intercompany across a multi-regulated, international Fintech group. They will partner with the Business to ensure financial stability, compliance, and scalability while optimising the company’s capital, liquidity, and tax position. The Group FC will lead on group structure management, tax strategy, audit and regulatory readiness, and control environment strengthening, whilst supporting commercial growth.

The Role:

Reporting into the COO, you will be a senior leader within the Finance function, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control, tax, and intercompany across a multi-regulated, international Fintech group. They will partner with the Business to ensure financial stability, compliance, and scalability while optimising the company’s capital, liquidity, and tax position. The Group FC will lead on group structure management, tax strategy, audit and regulatory readiness, and control environment strengthening, whilst supporting commercial growth.

Core Responsibilities:

Group Financial Control & Reporting

  • Oversee consolidated group reporting across UK, US, and other subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Manage the month-end, and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Lead on the statutory accounts, group audit, and regulator examinations (FCA, DFS).
  • Maintain strong governance over intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and procedures to mitigate financial risks

Group Structure Management

  • Oversee legal entity structure and advise on entity rationalisation, capital injections, and cross-border funding strategies.
  • Ensure intercompany recharges and transfer pricing are robust, compliant, and defendable with regulators and tax authorities.

Tax Strategy & Optimisation

  • Lead on tax planning, including transfer pricing and VAT.
  • Ensure compliance with UK, US, EU, and other relevant tax regimes while proactively managing risks.
  • Liaise with external advisors on tax audits, R&D claims, and future tax structuring opportunities.
  • Regulatory Capital & Liquidity
  • Oversee the calculation and monitoring of regulatory capital and liquidity requirements across entities and ensure frameworks are in place to maintain surplus buffers
  • Support stress testing, contingency funding planning, and wind-down planning.

Team Management

  • Oversee and mentor current Finance team of three fostering a high performing and supportive team.

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA or CIMA
  • Experience working in an FCA Regulated environment
  • Proven and significant experience in financial management and accounting in leadership roles specifically in either a PE Backed Environment / later stage scaled companies
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards for an international business
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate proven staff management & development skills
  • Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
