The Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will optimize and maintain our public website infrastructure in AWS. You'll automate application deployments, manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for high availability. Collaborating with engineering teams, you'll streamline release processes, improve system reliability, and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure in AWS with an emphasis on scalability, cost efficiency and security
  • Plan, execute, and automate application deployments to ensure smooth, zero-downtime releases across environments
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
  • Implement and oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance
  • Support containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve release processes and reduce time-to-production
  • Drive best practices for system reliability, security, and compliance
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes

About You

  • Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code solutions: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tooling (GitHub actions or similar).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of networking, monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog), and performance tuning for low-latency environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in high-pressure, real-time environments.
  • Ability to live the Pepperstone values.
  • Committed to ongoing learning and development.

Will be considered as a plus:

  • Knowledge of trading systems, order management, and market data processing.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments (equities, derivatives, FX, or commodities).
  • Experience with regulatory and data governance practices in financial platforms
