Job Description
The Jewellery DC is seeking a dynamic and driven Controller to join our high-performance logistics team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for managing the daily performance of operational teams within your assigned functional area, ensuring optimal flow, accuracy, and output in line with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Managing the output of Supervisors and Clerks across multiple teams;
- Monitor and guide output and workforce planning, and scheduling;
- Driving teams to meet and exceed daily and weekly performance targets;
- Planning and managing the flow of information and merchandise across and through teams within available processing space;
- Liaising with line managers and business units on allocations and priorities
- Managing performance, training, and development;
- Ensuring compliance with Group Logistics Best Operating Practice (BOP) standards;
- Identifying and proposing solutions for operational inefficiencies;
- Summarizing daily activities into weekly reporting and incorporating key performance areas;
Qualifications And Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) essential;
- Having a post-matric qualification in Supply Chain Management/Logistics & Warehouse Management/Retail Business Management would be advantageous.
- 3 – 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment;
- Proven experience managing teams and driving performance through others;
- Strong understanding of DC operations and logistics best practices;
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills;
- Hands-on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement and development;
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint;
- Working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (eg, WMOS).
