Job Summary:


The Business Operations Coordinator, in consultation with the department leader(s), is responsible for establishing efforts that enhance the flow of the department's business operational activities. This position assists with the management/administrative aspects of the department and has operational control of a range of tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, project development and management initiatives, financial preparation and monitoring, evaluation and improvement of internal operating procedures and business processes and policies, reporting, and management of systems.

Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions:


Oversees daily and routine processes and workflows, tracking metrics and making improvements. Initiates and leads department planning efforts. Acts as a liaison between multiple internal departments and possibly external vendors. Creates and maintains departmental policies and procedures. Trains, educates, and assists staff as needed.
Responsible for the management of systems related to capital and finance, contracting, purchasing, communications, and/or others. Monitors and analyzes financial activity for month/year for department(s). Provides support to management in the budget process and distributes financial reports as appropriate. Identifies and assists with opportunities to reduce operational costs. May be responsible for department-specific billing and invoicing.
Prepares and maintains meeting materials, business presentations and other department files. May be responsible for and coordinate with HR to maintain HR related files such as performance evaluations, job descriptions, clearance forms, resignations, separations from employment, annual employee health records, continuing education, etc.
May act as security administrator for department, ensuring all staff has the appropriate access to departmental and/or organizational systems. May be responsible for timekeeping of staff. May act as a lead to other administrative staff in the department.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors General

Required Minimum License(S) And Certification(S):


All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Additional License(S) And Certification(S):

Required Minimum Experience:

  • additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement. Required and
  • Minimum 5 years business or administrative operations role. Required and

  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, multitasking skills, and interpersonal skills
