Bessemer Trust is seeking an Investor Relations Analyst to join its Alternative Investments group working within the Alternative Investor Relations ("IR") team. The associate will work closely with colleagues to administratively support all facets of our Alternative Investments fund of funds business. This role includes significant interaction with a wide variety of internal teams including Client Advisors, Investment Research, Finance, Tax, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, among others, to contribute towards maintaining and improving the day-to-day operations of our Alternative Investments business.

The Alternative Investments group comprises 27 dedicated team members across 5 teams: Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Assets, Advisory and IR. Alternative Investments manages 18 active funds with approximately $6.0 billion under management, encompassing over 300 underlying investment funds and over 9,000 client investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as point of contact for Client Advisors and investors for Alternative Investments fund-related inquiries
  • Fulfill requests and complete documentation related to Alternative Investments funds marketing, fundraising, subscriptions, capital calls, transfers, distributions, and fund redemptions – both investment manager and investor related
  • Support function of coordinating and distributing client communications pertaining to Alternative Investments investment summaries, fund performance and marketing materials, as well as other general mailings
  • Coordinate with underlying investment managers and internal Tax and Finance teams to facilitate and track the distribution of information to investors, such as K-1s and financial statements
  • Fulfill requests and complete documentation related to investments offered through our External Manager Solutions program
  • Monitor and maintain client records in accordance with compliance policies and procedure
  • Assist with ongoing work and any special projects related to Alternative Investments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience
  • General knowledge and comfort level with financial concepts and financial markets, previous experience with Alternative Investments a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take a proactive, problem-solving approach to work
  • Successful candidate should be able to multitask and prioritize, with keen attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships with professionals at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and a strong emphasis on Excel)

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance.
