TDC is seeking a full time Technical Project Manager to join our experienced and high performing Sydney Client Services team. This is a hands-on and busy role where you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client shows, growing existing client accounts, and developing strong client relationships. Day to day you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to innovatively design, efficiently project manage, and successfully deliver complex technical solutions for live events and entertainment to meet client objectives.

What your work world will look like:

  • Provide clients with entertainment technology solutions including high-level systems design, schematics, site inspections, client liaison, advice, and production management across a range of shows and industries.
  • Deliver smart technology solutions utilising the latest in video technology to meet the growing sophistication in the world of entertainment technology, media servers, projection, LED, cameras, and virtual production.
  • Take responsibility for any show under your control, from pre-production through to show delivery and debrief.
  • Liaise with our Senior Technical team to develop innovative and efficient technical solutions.
  • Retain existing clients through delivery of excellent technical solutions with a strong focus on being professional, friendly, approachable, and easy to deal with.
  • Facilitate one point-of-contact for clients from quote through to show delivery and debrief.
  • Keep up to date with developments in new technology relating to the industry and undertake personal development and research to keep abreast of new technology.
  • Contribute to the overall business goals and revenue targets.

What you bring to the role:

  • At least 5 years of high-level and hands-on experience in technical production management for live events and entertainment, supporting a range of audio-visual services.
  • Experience in the technical operation of video technology such as LED, projection systems, control, and camera systems.
  • A strong understanding of video system design, schematics, and the development of plans and drawings using Vectorworks.
  • Ability to listen to client needs, interpret briefs, and identify client objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across projects and deal with competing priorities.
  • Solid relationship building and networking capabilities.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing crews.
  • Experience with RentalPoint and Personnel Manager is beneficial but not essential.
