Schedule: Mon 1:30-11:30 Tues-Thurs 3:30-1:30 am
Pay Rate: $19.00 -$20.00 + $2.00/hr Shift Diff
Job Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Stamping Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a stamping press machine to produce metal parts and components according to production specifications. This position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing with opportunities for skill development and advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Machine Operation: Operate stamping press machines to shape and form metal parts according to blueprints and work orders.
• Material Handling: Load metal coils into the stamping press machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate operation.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects, measurements, and conformity to specifications. Report any quality issues to the supervisor.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the stamping press machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and reporting any malfunctions or concerns.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Documentation: Record production data, including job completion times, material usage, and any issues encountered during the production process.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively regarding any production issues or concerns.
• Forklift operations will be trained & required for this position
Qualifications
Education
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
Specialized Knowledge and Experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Physical ability to lift and move metal sheets or parts, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
