Inviting applications for the role of Consultant - Quality Assurance Engineer
In this role we are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer/Lead to join our team, focusing on ensuring the highest quality of solutions developed on the Genpact Cora Business Process Management (BPM) platform, including Cora Sequence and Cora Orchestration. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of complex automated sequences and workflows. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to identify defects, ensure adherence to business requirements, and contribute to the overall quality of our BPM solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, BPM concepts, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for solutions built on the Genpact Cora platform (Cora Sequence, Cora Orchestration).
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing on automated sequences and workflows.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developer team to understand business requirements and technical specifications, ensuring testability and comprehensive test coverage.
- Design and implement manual as well as automated test scripts where applicable, also contributing to the automation testing framework for Cora BPM solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements analysis to deployment and post-production support.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and organizational processes throughout the testing life cycle.
- Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test results.
- Stay updated with the latest features and capabilities of the Genpact Cora platform and industry best practices in quality assurance and test automation.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in Quality Assurance, with significant experience in testing enterprise applications or BPM solutions.
• Proven experience in testing solutions developed on BPM platforms, with a strong understanding of workflow automation concepts.
• Solid experience in designing and executing various types of testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, Selenium, Junit, JMeter, Load Runner etc.) and defect tracking systems.
• Understanding of GenAI to auto-generate test cases, test data, and assist in defect analysis for faster and smarter quality assurance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing cycles in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred qualifications
• Prior working experience with BPM Systems.
• Direct experience testing solutions built on the Genpact Cora platform (Cora Sequence, Cora Orchestration).
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Load Runner, UFT, or specific BPM automation testing tools).
• Understanding of database concepts and ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
• Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., banking, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing etc.) with a strong emphasis on quality and compliance.
• Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB).
