How will you make an impact in this role?

As a member of the Canadian Leadership team, the role of Director, Lead Generation & Referral Card Acquisition (6-month Cross-Train) will lead a team responsible for all referral card marketing programs, while partnering closely with the sales organization to drive success in our Commercial business through hybrid marketing and Corporate Card acquisition tactics. This will be a cross-train position for a minimum tenure of 6 months.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Canadian market, a keen eye for strategy and an ability to effectively lead and develop a high performing team of marketers. They will require a competitive, results driven mindset, with the ultimate responsibility of driving sustainable growth through acquisition of new customers across our Consumer and Commercial Card portfolios.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading a team of talented marketers, with a focus on driving results, colleague development and engagement.
  • Working in collaboration with the SME & Large Market Sales organizations to drive growth in Commercial Acquisition through Hybrid and Self-Generated tactics.
  • Define strategic vision for all Referral Card marketing tactics, including Member Get Member for both Consumer and Small Business Cards, as well as Partners Plus for Commercial Card.
  • Oversee with Corporate Card Acquisition application and onboarding journeys for new prospects, partnering closely with internal stakeholders to optimize the experience for our clients.
  • Collaborating across lines of business to form winning enterprise strategies, with stakeholders that include Risk, Finance, and our Legal teams.

Job Qualifications Include:

  • Business degree or 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Digital marketing or sales experience with a proven track record of challenging the status quo to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of card economics and associated core levers, experience managing inputs into a P&L, and proven success in identifying and executing on opportunities to drive revenue and enhance profitability.
  • Outstanding communicator: verbal, written and through presentations – with an ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.
  • Builds a culture of inclusion and belonging by embracing and encouraging different points of view through open communication and radical candor.
