Canada Planning & Analytics
Nintendo of Canada Ltd. (NOCL) is looking for a new Sr Demand Forecasting & Planning Analyst to join their Planning & Analytics team. The Canada Planning & Analytics team acts as thought leaders and partners who turn data into actions, driving better outcomes for Nintendo’s business and consumers. This role prepares and analyzes sales forecasts, sales reports, and presentations, including analysis of variances vs forecasts. Ideal candidates will combine technical forecasting expertise with collaboration skills and business acumen to support strategic decision making.
Description Of Duties:
- Develops and analyzes forecasts and delivers to stakeholders with clarity around key assumptions, risks and opportunities.
- Incorporates business intelligence, market trends and promotional plans into demand forecasts.
- Reports actual performance and generates insights to explain variances to forecast.
- Expert contributor in the development of objectives, strategies and recommendations for annual sales planning.
- Partners with internal teams to align on demand plans.
- Generates complex insights to optimize pricing, trade spend and promotional ROI.
- Uses subject matter expertise to improve forecasting tools and processes.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to junior analysts on methods and best practices.
Summary Of Requirements:
- Five (5) plus years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work with extremely large datasets.
- Ability to translate complex analytical work into meaningful insights and recommendations for business stakeholders preferred.
- Confidence in presenting analysis and forecasts to audiences ranging from senior leadership to cross-functional business partners.
- Experience in working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, building interactive reports, complex dashboards for different audiences, creating calculated KPIs or metrics by writing complex formulas.
- Demonstrated experience in how to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to tight deadlines in a high paced environment.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, engineering, economics, or other technical field.
The hiring range for this position is $83,800 - $125,700 CAD annual and is subject to change. The final base salary compensation will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
