The Supply Chain Analyst – New Product Development (NPD) will play a critical role in supporting new product launches by owning the cost accounting process, supporting engineering prototype procurement, and analyzing sourcing metrics. This position will work closely with engineering, procurement, and supplier teams to ensure supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness from product inception through launch.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Cost Accounting Ownership
  • Own and manage the cost accounting of new products from concept through production release.
  • Track, analyze, and report on product cost drivers and variances.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement to ensure accurate cost models and BOMs.
  • Prototype Procurement
  • Write and manage purchase orders (POs) to support engineering prototype builds.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of prototype materials.
  • Resolve issues related to prototype sourcing and logistics.
  • Sourcing Metrics Analysis
  • Collect and analyze data on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and cost trends.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on sourcing and costing metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Reporting
  • Prepare regular reports for management on sourcing, costing, and supply chain performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, and supplier teams to support NPD objectives.
  • Participate in NPD project meetings and provide supply chain insights.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain analytics.

Who You Are:

You are a collaborative problem-solver who combines strong analytical skills with a hands-on understanding of supply chain operations. You take ownership of your work, communicate effectively across teams, and use data to drive informed decisions that optimize cost, quality, and delivery in new product development.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or cost analysis (preferably in manufacturing or engineering environments).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with cost accounting and BOM management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

The salary range for this role is $annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
