Supported Housing Concierge

• Salary £24,638 per annum [pro rata] and great benefits including Health Cash Plan
• Fixed Term contract (6 months), part time (32.25 hpw)

We’re looking for a new Supported Housing Concierges to join our growing team and replace a colleague who has been promoted. Here at Home Group, we look after our vulnerable customers, but also those with quite complex needs. Your job will be to make sure our customers are safe, our buildings are secure and pleasant places to be, and that we get on with our neighbours.

What You’Ll Do

• If you want a routine security job, then this is not the job for you!
• There is so much more involved than being stuck in an office monitoring CCTV or patrolling the premises.
• You are the first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network isn’t around to help!
• You’ll manage the health and safety of the buildings, patrolling to check fire doors, making sure everything is locked, safe and secure.
• Thinking on your feet and managing a situation on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising the alarm when we need to engage the emergency services.
• Finally, you’ll also record activity and help us make sure that everything is clean and tidy, so you need to be ok with wielding the mop or broom as well!

• A team player with the confidence to work alone. Don’t worry you’ll have the full back up of our wider team including our out of hours emergency support team.

The Practical Bits

• Travel between our buildings across Exeter city centre
• Working 7am to 7.30pm or 7.30am to 8pm (4 week rolling rota. The service is always double cover at a minimum 24/7)
• You must be able to use technology to monitor CCTV, update records and ensure we log and report incidents promptly.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
