This qualified candidate is an experienced security professional. The main responsibilities are to perform standard and specialized personnel security processing. The candidate will also handle Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility operational duties for Federal clients.

The individual will provide timely and accurate operational and compliance support. The individual will help process Personnel Security clearance actions as needed during the personnel security lifecycle. This includes Special Access Program (SAP)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access processing and NISP personnel clearance processing. The position offers a chance to use industrial security processing procedures in a team setting. The individual can build a career in the Federal Security profession with exposure to all security disciplines.

The position will require using regulatory knowledge and experience. Work will follow the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and agency-specific regulations and programs. The candidate will support Deloitte's compliance with 32 CFR part 117, NISPOM Rule, ICDs, and SEADs. This support is on behalf of government clients, accrediting authorities, and firm security policies and procedures.

Work You'Ll Do

  • Initiate, prepare, and submit required personnel security applications. This includes initials, upgrades, and periodic reinvestigations for access to National Security Information and Intelligence Community programs. Include eApp, SF86, SF86C, and other agency-required paperwork.
  • Support GPS Security personnel security mission. Make daily database entries, including status checks in DISS. Monitor and query to ensure cleared personnel databases match current employee status. Send notifications to newly cleared personnel. Maintain updated personnel security and suitability records. Prepare outgoing clearance certifications for classified visits. Keep accurate and current records in the internal database.
  • Acts as the quality control specialist for personnel security paperwork. Ensures all packages are accurately completed and include required documentation. Initiates, prepares, and submits required personnel security applications for access to National Security Information, Intel, or Special Access Programs. Handles both initial applications and periodic reinvestigations.
  • Develop relationships and conduct ongoing follow-up, briefings and communications with engagement teams and government points of contact
  • Prepare and complete visit authorization letters (VAL) for classified visit requests
  • Support the requirements for client badging and onboarding processes
  • Assist with other GPS Security missions, actions, and projects as directed. This includes incident response, creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and developing and presenting security awareness briefings.

The Team

At Deloitte, GPS Security is an internal operations team providing a range of security services. We help Deloitte professionals navigate security protocols from proposals, through the contract, to contract close out. Our clients are other Deloitte professionals. Our team members work collaboratively and apply their specialized knowledge and skills to think proactively to provide a holistic customer-centric experience for our Deloitte professionals and external clients.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI security clearance (with ability to upgrade to Poly)
  • 4 years of federal security operational and/or Personnel Security processing experience with a US federal agency
  • Knowledge of government databases including DISS, NBIS, Scattered Castles, NCAISS, and NISS
  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employer sponsorship is not needed now or in the future.
  • Primary office will be on site 5 days a week in Arlington, VA - Rosslyn
  • Local travel may be required within the Washington DC Metropolitan Area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Experience with ICD 705 and SCIF build requirements
