MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. This is an on-site position.

This position supports the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED). This is an opportunity to be part of a team that plays a crucial role in keeping our nation’s military safe and mission successful.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating and managing projects for the AARGM-ER program in support of the Platform/Stores Integration competency, Program Manager, and IPT leaders
• Developing requirements, store integration plans, and performing engineering analyses to ensure total weapon system performance. Apply programmatic and technical knowledge to identify, design, and test solutions for complex engineering problems
• Managing and executing the airworthiness process for all store integration activities, including coordinating data requirements with subject matter experts and reviewing flight clearances for technical accuracy and safety
• Preparing and reviewing a variety of technical documentation, including project directives, specifications, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test plans, and contract deliverables
• Establishing and maintaining communication with key stakeholders (project team leaders, NAVAIRSYSCOM, IPT members) and serving as a department representative at conferences, design reviews, program meetings, and symposia

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university
• 10+ years of recent and relevant engineering experience with at least 3+ years directly related to DoD systems
• Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise
• Weapons and Store Integration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Airworthiness experience to include NAVAIR airworthiness requirements, flight clearances, and safety of flight

• Aircraft/Weapons Integration Experience

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have an active Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Tasking is primarily computer based.  The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC as well as operate other typical office equipment (e.g. copying machine, shredder, projection systems, etc.).
• Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS, ZOOM).

The projected compensation range for this position is $114,100.00-$191,100.00.
