The Valspar Brand Marketing Co-op will support marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, consideration, and engagement for Valspar’s professional and DIY segments. This role will assist in executing marketing campaigns, managing digital assets, and supporting cross-functional projects that strengthen Valspar’s position in the marketplace.
Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in planning and executing brand marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Support social media content development and performance tracking.
- Support influencer marketing programs, including research, coordination, and performance tracking.
- Assist with .com content updates and optimization for brand websites.
- Conduct competitive research and maintain scorecards for key competitors.
- Help prepare for line reviews and internal presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams on marketing materials and content development; assist with proofreading and quality checks.
- Assist with website updates and digital asset management (SW Mall).
- Coordinate photography and video shoots for brand content.
- Pull and analyze business reports to support marketing decisions.
- Manage sample and empty can orders for marketing initiatives.
Position Requirements
Formal Education:
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Sophomore or Junior level preferred).
Knowledge & Experience:
Required:
- Eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work flexible hours during school year and full-time during summer.
Preferred:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative thinker with ability to bring new ideas to the table.
- Experience with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
